I've spent much of my life working on streamlining how I learn music and how I practice to help make performing easier, more musical, and more rewarding. And although I'm primarily a pianist, I have worked with instrumentalists and vocalists. The skills I teach aren't about technique specific to the instrument. They are skills that apply to everyone. â€‹â€‹â€‹

Before I studied with Erica, I was very slow to learn piano pieces and struggled to play them without making lots of mistakes.  Erica showed me how to break the learning process down into small manageable chunks, ways to identify and solve stubborn problems, and to polish the piece into performance state.  She focused not just on the technical aspects of piano playing but also the psychological aspects that can get in the way of consistent and comfortable playing.  Her approach has made an enormous different to my enjoyment at the keyboard!
